Pollinator Award acknowledgments

posted Sep 28, 2011, 4:55 PM by Clement Kent   [ updated Sep 28, 2011, 5:56 PM ]

The North American Pollinator Protection Campaign (NAPPC) will award the Canadian Pollinator Advocate to Clement Kent at it's 11 annual meeting in Washington
DC on Tuesday October 25 2011 We've blogged about this already. Now there is a video press release from York University, where Clement studies honeybee genetics, and an audio interview with Lara DiBattista on CBC Radio's Here and Now program.

Although the award is given to a person, it really recognizes the efforts of all the volunteers in the Pollinator Gardens Project, the support of the Horticultural Societies of Parkdale and Toronto, and especially the support and inspiration of a fine group of York University scientists whose commitment to educating about environmental issues has been so important to me: Laurence Packer, Amro Zayed, Bridget Stutchbury, and Gail Fraser.
